Bringing a puppy home is exciting—but it can also feel overwhelming. Puppy School at Dog Training Toolshed helps you navigate the early months with clear, kind guidance so your puppy builds confidence and calmness from the very start.

Designed for pups aged 8–14 weeks, this class covers socialisation, confidence building, toilet training, biting, calm greetings, and foundation exercises in a safe, supportive environment.

What We Cover

Our Puppy School classes cover:

  • Safe puppy socialisation with people and other puppies
  • Building confidence around new sights, sounds, and environments
  • Toilet training guidance and setting up good habits at home
  • Calm greetings without jumping or mouthing
  • Basic life skills like sit, drop, and recall
  • Handling and gentle vet/grooming prep. (Three of our sessions are held at Numurkah veterinary clinic, with pet health the focus of our sessions)
  • Understanding puppy behaviour and body language

We focus on practical, real-life skills that make living with your puppy easier and more enjoyable.

Class Details

  • 4-week blocks 
  • Classes are held on Monday Nights 6pm – 7pm (Subject to availability) 
  • For puppies aged 8–14 weeks
  • Indoor location purpose built
  • Max 6 puppies per class for individual support
