Practical Training That Builds Skills—and Confidence
Training shouldn’t be overwhelming, impersonal, or filled with pressure. Our small group classes are designed to help dogs and their carers practice essential behaviours in real-life scenarios—without the chaos of large classes or the confusion of one-size-fits-all advice.
With a maximum of six dogs per class, we keep things personal, adaptive, and focused on the individual dog in front of us. Whether you’re continuing training after puppy school or starting fresh with a new rescue, we’re here to support your progress every step of the way.
Who It’s For
Group classes are ideal for:
- Adolescent dogs (5–18 months) navigating big feelings and growing independence
- Adult dogs with no formal training who need a gentle, structured starting point
- Rescue dogs adjusting to their new environment and routines
- Carers who want consistent support and practical take-home skills
New pet carers who would like expert advice and support
These classes provide a reliable foundation for good behaviour in and outside the home—and help build your confidence as a leader your dog can trust.
What’s Covered in Each 4-Week Program
Every class includes real-world training topics to help dogs become calm, confident, and easy to live with:
- Loose lead walking without pulling
- Reliable recall even with distractions
- Polite greetings with people and dogs
- Impulse control (waiting, staying, settling)
- Calm behaviour in public spaces (like cafés or vet clinics)
- Confidence-building for off-lead environments
Training sessions also include time for questions, troubleshooting, and adapting activities to your dog’s needs in the moment.
How Our Group Classes Work
We don’t run classes on autopilot. Every group is small by design, so we can adapt based on what’s happening in real-time—whether that means adding space for a nervous dog, or levelling up for a confident learner.
- 4-week blocks or class passes
- Outdoor or indoor locations (weather-dependent)
- Max 6 dogs per class for individualised attention
- Weekly take-home notes and homework support included
- Everyone feels like a winner! Adaptable exercises and constant support
Why Group Classes Matter
Dogs don’t live in a vacuum—and training in the real world means learning how to focus around distractions.
Group training gives your dog safe, structured practice around other dogs, people, and new environments. It also helps you build confidence and consistency as a carer—because training is a team effort.
Plus, our group clients often tell us they leave with more than just skills—they leave with community, encouragement, and momentum.
